** Event purses are subject to change. Projected purses are based on an expected membership roster. The number of sponsor exemptions will impact payouts.

Standard Tournaments, 18-hole Events:
Standard Tournaments are 18-hole net stroke play events. Tournament participants subtract course-adjusted tournament handicaps from gross scores to determine net scores. The tournament participant with the lowest net score wins the event.

Major Tournaments, 36-hole Events:
Major Tournaments are 36-hole net stroke play events. After all tournament participants have completed the first 18-holes, a “cut-line” is established. The “cut-line” is defined by either the lowest 8 net scores or a net score within 10 strokes of the leader, whichever is more inclusive. The lowest 8 net scores (and ties for the 8th lowest score) or the net score within 10 strokes of the leader qualify to compete in the remaining 18-holes. Tournament participants with net scores higher than the lowest 8 net scores or net scores 11 strokes greater than the leader are “cut” from the remainder of the tournament. “Cut” tournament participants are not eligible to win tournament payouts, but are still eligible for “Closest-to-the-Pin” contests. The tournament participant with the lowest 36-hole net score total wins the event.

The Boston Tee Party Tournament, limited-field event:
The Boston Tee Party is different than the Standard or Major Boston Tour Events in several ways. First, participation is limited to a select group of full-time Boston Tour Members. Qualification for the Boston Tee Party is limited to the following full-time Tour members:
1. Winners of the 36-hole major event(s)
2. Top 4 (including ties) from the year-end Boston Tour points leaders
Second, the payout purse for the Boston Tee Party is not established at the beginning of the season; it depends upon the amount of single-event entry fees collected during the regular Boston Tour season. Ten dollars ($10) of each single-event entry fee is allocated to the Boston Tee Party payout purse. Finally, the winner of the 18-hole net stroke play Boston Tee Party Event is awarded the entire purse payout, the winner takes all.
