Worldwide Ubiquity of Adobe Flash® Player—December 2006
Millward Brown's Worldwide survey shows that 98.3% of all Internet users have Adobe Flash® Player 6 installed on the computer they use to browse websites.

Flash® is an extremly useful tool for deploying product demonstrations, tutorials, and training seminars to the web or through distribution via CD or DVD. This includes walk-throughs and even the incorporation of video footage.

We recommend Flash® for websites with aesthetical objectives. Flash® allows impressive visual effects, video and sound. It is ideal for presentations, intros, banners and animated headers.

We avoid the use of Flash® as the running platform for e-commerce and business related websites, since Flash® content is not indexed by search engines. However, the use of Flash® for banners, website headers, etc., included in HTML pages, is acceptable and highly recommended.
